Hello!
My grandson's birthday is coming up and I just finished his card. I have CASED a card by Di at Pixie's Crafty Workshop from October. I had the same sentiment that she used in my parts basket, and just did my own thing with what number dies I had in my stash.
I chose orange for the numbers because that is my grandson's favorite color. The smaller ones are from the Blackboard Numbers die set by Elizabeth Craft Designs. Since the set has never been used, I am adding this card to NBUS #44.The large 21 (as that is what age he is turning) is from my old Papertrey Ink set called By The Numbers. It seems that both number sets are still available, which is wonderful. To add a little interest I added some bling in the same color as the happy birthday. I think the black layer makes the colors pop. The base card is my usual PTI Basic White, a nice weight c.s.
Inside, I stamped "May Your Birthday Be As Special As You Are" with a 2002 Hero Arts wood stamp onto a piece of matching blue cardstock found in my stash. A gift card for some gas put inside completes this for this special grandson.
My new blog is slowly coming along. Thank you for visiting. Hugs from MN.
Looking good
ReplyDeleteOne good deed deserves another, Jeanne! Thanks for your kindness!
ReplyDeleteI love your countdown to 21! Don't blink is what I usually say about my grandchildren - before we know it, they're all grown up!
I've clicked the follow button, but nothing happened! Maybe you have to give permission?
I love that you'll concentrate on flowers here on your new blog - does this mean we'll be seeing you more at The Flower Challenge? Fingers crossed! x

I guess they haven't returned your old blog to you.😒 It was a great reminder to me to back up my blog. I'm not sure how one reloads it, but at least I made a copy. You did a fantastic job of CASEing Di's card, Jeanne! And Happy Awesome 21st birthday to your grandson! He will love the tumbling numbers. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I love what you did with the numbers. I always have a hard time using anything with a number on it. Thanks for sharing with us over at NBUS. Hope to see you again. Bonnie GDT
