Kindly Deliver

 Greetings!

I am about to get this card in the post to my granddaughter who is away at college in Pennsylvania. She crafted with me when she was little and loves my cards, so she says. I know she likes getting mail!

This card was fiddley, but fun to make. Snippets of colored cardstock was used for the flowers, so am adding this to the Snippets Playground Challenge #450. Snippets of white were used for the sign and the envelope shown partway in the mailbox. Can you see it?

I made the card CASEing many I have seen on-line in blogs and videos, but added my own touches, like the hot foiled sentiment and door handle and embossed card base. Let's see, the mailbox and flowers are from Spellbinders Parcel & Post Mailbox die set and the Hot Foil Plates All-Occasion Mailbox Greetings. The embossing folder is an old Sizzix/Tim Holtz one called Birch Trees.

Like I said, somewhat difficult to make but I like it! 😄

Entering this also in NBUS #48 as all is new here, even my hot foil system! THAT system was quite the learning curve for me, but am loving the results.

Have a wonderful day. Pretty warm today here in MN, with sunny skies. I am sooo ready for Spring!

Bye bye for now. I love your comments and will try to visit you too. Cyber hugs from my messy corner desk craft space.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

Birthday Wishes

 Hello All!

Tonight I am posting a card made for the Color Hues Challenge #60 where they asked for blue and turquoise. I felt like using my neglected alcohol inks, so this is what I came up with.

I played with the Ranger alcohol inks from in my stash and made a large mess panel. It took days and never really dried. My heat gun used as a last result burned and wrinkled a good portion of the Yupo paper. This rectangle part is the best I could come up with.

The ink colors are called Celestial and Aqua, hopefully close enough to the required hues. As I said, the ink wouldn't dry, so I did dab with a paper towel which left some subtle dimension if you look closely.

The card base is Stampin' Up! Bermuda Bay and the sentiment by STAMPlorations was cut twice and glued together to stand out and to mimic the white border on the panel. Did you hear Shery is doing better? Am so pleased for her and the family.

Time to have some dinner. Bye for now from a nice sunny day, but cold March evening here in MN. Spring will come and I do  like the longer days.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

Yellow Floral

 Hi~

I needed to make something Spring-y as it has been so gloomy here in MN for days and days. I watched an excellent video from Rachel Tessman showing how to make Double Sided Designer cards. I used a nice dsp from my stash to make this card.

The designer paper is Stampnin' Up! Brights 6x6 DSP, highlighting the Daffodil Delight paper. I love the tiny flowers.
When this card is opened the left side of it is all the floral paper with Happy Birthday stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on the right side.

Using a really old 2000 flower stamp from Inky Antics for the flower. I was going to paper piece it but ending up just fussy cutting it out. Used a snippet of paper for it as well as the border between the tiny flowers and the striped background. That background is the reverse of the flowery piece. Because I used snippets, I am adding this to the Snippets Playground Challenge#448.

Gotta run, am playing at my demo's house this evening along with my daughter. Hugs from MN. Stay warm and I hope those in the path of the winter storms will be okay.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

Tags On A Card

 Greetings:

Posting here is my entry for the Card Chain Challenge for February 2023. I've been a member for years and I love exchanging cards from all over the world. I recommend you join!

My card went to CA this time. One of the options was tags, and I knew I had some pretty ones to get out. They were gifted to me. I've forgotten who sent them, so if it was you, let me know. I found some on line by Hallmark. Check out my simple card. It looks juvenile to me; guess I was trying too hard to use all the options. Oh well.

These two tags were adhered just a bit at the top so they can be removed and used. Mine were a treat for me, so I am passing the favor on. One of the other options this time included the sketch shown below.

Other suggestions for February were the colors of aqua, brick red and sand. I took quite a bit of liberty with that. My base card was PTI Basic White and I added a couple of punched circles in yellow.

The friendly sentiment (friendship is always an option) is from an ancient SU set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. I bet lots of you have that set. 😉

So that is all from me. Take good care. Goodbye for now from MN where it is raining today. What? It's February for goodness sake.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.
