Kindly Deliver

 Greetings!

I am about to get this card in the post to my granddaughter who is away at college in Pennsylvania. She crafted with me when she was little and loves my cards, so she says. I know she likes getting mail!

This card was fiddley, but fun to make. Snippets of colored cardstock was used for the flowers, so am adding this to the Snippets Playground Challenge #450. Snippets of white were used for the sign and the envelope shown partway in the mailbox. Can you see it?

I made the card CASEing many I have seen on-line in blogs and videos, but added my own touches, like the hot foiled sentiment and door handle and embossed card base. Let's see, the mailbox and flowers are from Spellbinders Parcel & Post Mailbox die set and the Hot Foil Plates All-Occasion Mailbox Greetings. The embossing folder is an old Sizzix/Tim Holtz one called Birch Trees.

Like I said, somewhat difficult to make but I like it! 😄

Entering this also in NBUS #48 as all is new here, even my hot foil system! THAT system was quite the learning curve for me, but am loving the results.

Have a wonderful day. Pretty warm today here in MN, with sunny skies. I am sooo ready for Spring!

Bye bye for now. I love your comments and will try to visit you too. Cyber hugs from my messy corner desk craft space.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

  1. What a great card Jeanne - and I finally spotted the envelope as well. Rest assured, your grandaughter will totally love it. Not only for the card itself but also for the care, love and kindness you sent with it. I went to boarding school for four and a half years - and every single piece of mail was treasured - long after I stopped feeling homesick. I can still feel the flush of joy knowing that I had mail!

    Hugs

  2. What a smashing card Jeanne. Love everything about it.

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. Once you’ve finished playing on the swings, meet me and Di up in the Treehouse for a nice mug of hot chocolate! xxx

  3. I have seen this cute mailbox, too, but I am really loving your version, Jeanne! All your sweet details make this so charming! Your granddaughter will love getting this in the mail and thinking back on all the happy memories she shared with you making cards! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Enjoy that springish weather! We have more rain and gale-force winds here again today. So bizarre! Hugs, Darnell

  5. Nicely done with this postal box and all those super tiny pieces for the flowers. That is a great sentiment.
