Woodblock Wednesday April 2024

Hello Fellow Stampers!

This is my first entry to this challenge yet I have oodles of wooden stamps and still love them. I added this card to the Woodblock Wednesday challenge for April. Oops, not my first entry. I did one in February.

Here's what I made last night and this afternoon.

Onto SU Basic Black top folding card, I added a layer of Basic Gray emboseed with retired Print Texture embossing folder. Next I stamped my two woodblocks on a rectangle of cream cardstock.

The lovely feather and inkwell stamp is by Inkadinkado #60-0027. I have no idea how old it is. Because I need sympanthy cards, I used the SU stamp from 2002. Inside is just more of the cream c.s. ready for a message.

I found several unloved wooden stamps that I need to use. Watch for them coming soon.

Lovely spring day here in MN, with temp in low 70's. Rain expected for the weekend, so good stampin weather. Bye for now.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again. I sure love your comments!

A Few Cards

Happy April!

First up is a sympathy card I made to have on hand in case one is needed. It's the only one in my stash at the moment.
I have the Stampin' Up! Painted Lavender stamp set, but this time used a new die set from Memory Box called Lavender Bouquet. As usual I did not think to use sticky back paper before die cutting, so used my green glue to glue the pieces. It wasn't easy, but it worked out ok.  Senior moments coming too often these days. LOL  Because this die set had its first outing, I am adding this card to NBUS #61

My card base is Gina K and is embossed with my retired SU/Sizzix folder called Brick Wall.  Leftover cardstock for the flowers and stems arealso SU, Gorgeous Grape and green that I cannot recall its name. The vase holding the stems is not really a vase, but a toadstool from The Greetery's BotaniCut Toadstool Gardens die set. Snippets of tan are used for that and highlighting the sentiment from retired SU Peaceful Moments stamp set. Because of all the snippets used, I am also entering this card in the Snippets Playground #477.

Next up are two of the Easter cards I made for my grandkids who are away at college. I know they both like getting mail.

This Easter Gnome is from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped and cut him out of white cardstock and colored with SU Blends. Stamped the sentiment from this same set onto a square of white making this a simple guy card.  My cardbase is SU Basic Black. The card on the right used an unloved set called Bunny Border from Impression Obsession. The Happy Easter is a 2002 stamp from SU all put on a nice piece of the Gorgeous Grape cardstock done with SU Fancy Fan embossing folder.

Spring seems to be here and my allergies attest to that! But am going to a spring flower show next weekend showcasing tulips, Fun. 🌷🌷

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

My March 2024 CCC Card

 Hello!

This month I chose to do the color option and made my card black, white, and pink! Once upon a time I hated the color pink, but after having two daughters, two granddaughers and now with a great-granddaughter, I LOVE pink.

Pretty in Pink, a retired Stampin' Up! color is my one color choice. I have two stamp pads of this, both pretty dry. Unluckily, I don't have a refill, but I persevered. I do have refills for most of my stamp pads (from several companies) but goofed this time. Oops.

The many words of hello strip sentiment is from Taylored Expression.

Inside I used a friendship stamp from SU's retired set called Friend Like You. Intrestingly, this set is for sale several places online and some are quite expensive. Go figure.

Spring seems to be here in MN, but we cannot rule out snow in March. Me, I am ready for spring and flowers blooming. ⚘

Theme Options: On The Farm / Postal / Friendship
