Celebrate You

Hi Again!

Am joining the celebration of Di at the Snippets Playground Challenge #471 where she and Sarn have thrilled us with creativity, charm, and humor for years. Di has put in 12 year and Sarn a few less. Thanks you two.

Here's my card made with lots of snippets!

A lot of retired oldie but goodie dies used again to make this card. The celebrate is from PTI Birthday Cheer done with a Gina K Deco Foil Toner card front and lovely striped Deco Foil. First time in ages that I have tried laminating with my Minc.

Snippets of colored foil cardstock from an old Metalics Mat Stack by DCWV were used for the word you and the dots. I took out an old 1/2" punch from SU for the red circle and used two hand punch sizes to make the green and gold ones.

The Fine Tip Glue Pen from SU was essential in gluing down these snippets.

The base card is A2 top folding and embossed with the old SU/Sizzix Square Lattice embossing folder. The purple cardstock is from my stash. I do like using colored paper instead of just my usual white.

It is a lovely sunny day here in Minnesota, but freezing temperature near zero with wind chill. A good day to stay in and create.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again. I sure love your comments.

  1. Hi Jeanne . . . freezing in the UK too! It's sub-zero until midday when it reaches the giddy heights of a whole one degree celsius! So - it's too cold to play on the Playground swings - but I'll see you up in the treehouse for a nice mug of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows! Thanks for sharing your pretty celebration card with the lovely embossing, along with your snippets. xxx

  3. What great inspiration this is, Jeanne, and what a perfectly festive card to make for someone's birthday! I love that it has bold colors, textures, and you've done a brilliant job of using your papers! Hope it is warming up there! Hugs, Darnell
