Happy December Greetings!
I am going across the bottom of the December Tic-Tac-Toe grid challenge for this month. It was hard to chose a row and to used what supplies I have on hand. BUT I found one! All the elements are here in my card: blue, brad, bear, and button! The button found in my stash has 4 holes, and I think it shows our moon's texture. lol
Starting with a piece of water color paper, I blended SU Night of Navy and Boho Blue to make the waves. I free handed a snippet to make the ice floe for my polor bear. Per another blogger's idea, (sorry I forgot to write down who), next I applied a couple of layers of glue to make the floating ice shiny. Since them I purchased some Glossy Accents that might have worked better.
Anyway, before mounting the ice floe and my bear, I blended the same two blue colors with a touch of Black Soot Distress Ink to make the cloudy sky, masking off a small punched circle for the moon. That gave me a place to add the button. I am not sure why I have a whole container of buttons, but I remember them being popular back in the day! You too?
I am sure you recognize the wonderful SU bear punch image that I've used before. Cutting him from more of the water color paper gives him some texture.
Next, I mounted my card front onto another piece of white cardstock, then both onto a SU Basic Black A2 card base.
For my sentiment I chose to use Peace On Earth from SU's current Regal Reindeer stamp set. I fussy cut around it so it would fit in the corner.
The bronze brad completes the card and the bottom row of the challenge grid. Done and mailed.
Happy, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all. Peace in our world would be my wish. 🕊
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again. Thanks too for commenting! Hugs from MN.
