Merry & Bright

Happy New Year and Happy Holidays!

I started to post this, then realized I was too early, so deleted that post but kept the important parts. So really, here is my posting for the December Woodblock Wednesday. A pretty simple card, but I like it.

The A2 card base is Taken With Teal, retired by SU. I love the color and recently bought a pack on line. Expensive, but worth it.

Keeping the card simple, I used a oldie and retired and wonderful stamp by Hero Arts. It's dated 2005!
I inked up the stamp with Encore! Silver ink. To add some balancing, I stamped in the corner an image also from SU called Stars At Night.

It took many tries to get a decent photo, but finally was ok with this one. The white paper behing is trying to cover up some of my messy desk. LOL

Inside I placed a nice piece of white card stock with Merry Christmas from the above set also done in silver. There is room for a note, what I try to do in my holiday cards, if I am not too rushed. Do you do that too?

Happy New Year Amy and all my readers. Thanks for following and challenging us, Amy.

Sunny and cold today. Around 10 degrees F. Brrr, but the snow is pretty.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

That is COLD! Hope you can just stay indoors! What a delightful card with that old stamp--one I don't remember! I love my Encore Metallic pads which are probably over 20 years old!

A very pretty CAS card using the lovely sentiment! Love the teal background, too!

Jeanne, I love this color with the silver. This is a perfect CAS card. The silver adds a wonderful touch of sophistication and shimmer! Hugs Jaydee

Jeanne, I'd forgotten what a gorgeous color this is for Christmas cards. I love the simple silver sentiment and the addition of the stars adds a wonderful touch for the reason of the season. Oh, and Ive given up trying to cover up the mess on my desk. I'm a paper crafter with two cats who hate paper - so they constantly re-arrange my desk! hugs, jaydee
