Lovely Teal & Silver

Hello!

Today I made a card to enter the Color Hues: #122 - Teal and Silver challenge. So here is my card. I like it.  You?  It is nice to have another one finished for my Christmas list.

To make the card I used retired Stampin' Up! Taken With Teal cardstock to make an A2 size left folding card. I have only a couple of sheets left, but found some more on-line. Expensive, but that's okay as I love the color. Acturally, any hue of blue is my favorite!

In my huge stash of specialty card stock I found a pack of shiny silver from Erin Lee Creative. Using my Stamp & Cut machine,  I cut out both flower and the greeting. Gluing them was the hard part because as usual, I didn't think to use an adhesive sheet. Sigh. My finger in the glue worked out. :-)

The elegant die is retired from Poppy Stamps called Stained Glass Poinsettia. The word die Joy is an older goodie from Queen & Co.

Inside is a nice piece of white cardstock with a couple of snowflakes cut from the leftover silver paper. I will write a note before mailing.

I almost always write a note in my Christmas cards. Do you? A great deal of my friends live out of state.

A cloudy but quite warm for November day here...in the 40's. I am looking forward to some snow, but it probably will be a while yet.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again. I sure appreceiate comments!

Hello Friends

 Hello,

This card was made for the October Card Chain Challenge and it is wending its way to Illinois. I hope Ellie likes it.

It was difficult getting a good picture that shows both the embossed flower and stem and the greeting. This shows it fairly well taken with my old Kodak camera.

The flower and sentiment are both from SU retired set called Inked & Tiled. My cardbase is Not Quite Navy. Using my MISTI, I stamped the flower image with VersaMark and sprinkled on two WOW glitter embossing powders. Metaline Kiwi Krush and Carousel are the colors.

To cover a boo-boo, I used an old oval punch to cut an opening that turned out to be perfect for my Hello Friend greeting from the above set too. I stamped through the opening onto white cardstock on the inside. Had to use a stamping block for that, something I hadn't used in ages. Do you all use your blocks anymore?

I mimicked the color of the flower with three sticky dots from my bling drawer and was done. I just wrote a note before mailing on the paper inside.

Here are the options for October. I like doing friendship cards.

Theme Options: Wee Folk (Fairies, Elves, Gnomes etc.) / Trees / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Glitter / Splatts

After a lovely autumn day here and it is time to get to bed. Night night and happy stamping!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.
