I Love Purple

Hello Again,

After about 20+ pictures taken and cropped, here is my entry to The Flower Challenge #107. Whew!

I really love any shade/hue of purple but do not have a lot of ink pads. Found a little one by Memories Direct in my stash and used it with a stencil. This stencil is from Uniko called Pure Florals Gerbera. It is still available on their website.

Here is my card...is it Purple enough for this October flower challege? I like the card. You?

The card base is SU, not sure the name, but stamping on a scrap showed me the little ink pad named above would go nicely. It fit well on my A2 side folding card.

Using the same ink, I then stamped my sentiment right next to the flower. Oops, crooked. So I stamped again on a snippet of white die cut using an oval punch. The sentiment is from the retired SU set called Love & Sympathy. I think purple is a good color for sympanthy cards.

Lastly, I added a little gem found in my drawer of bling. Can you believe I have a whole drawer of bling from many different companies? True story.

Inside is a 4 x 5-1/2 piece of white c.s. ready for a note. Am hopeful I will not need to send the card soon.

Because I used a snippet of paper for the sympathy greeting, I am adding the card to the Snippets Playground #516.  I haven't played there in a very long time.

That is it from me for now. Take care of yourselves and happy crafting. It is a rainy Autumn day here, so was perfect for making a card.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

World Card Making Day

 Hi~

With what supplies I had on hand, I tried some of the technique shown by Jay in the UK on his video that was part of the SU special card making day presentations.  Used Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight full size stamp pads.  I smooched the colors onto my glass mat and spritzed them well like he did before dropping a piece of white cardstock on top. That's my whole card front.

See?

From black cardstock, I die cut the open tree scene from SU In older In The Grove die set but I lobbed off the top part. Like Jay, I put my sentiment in the middle of the trees. Because the dried smooshed part is lumpy, the words are hard to read. Says, "You've been on my mind" from the retired Memorable Blooms stamp set.

To finish, I stamped the moon from Hero Arts in my sunset sky.

Another card for my stash. Maybe it will go to my lovely granddaughter who is away at grad school in upper New York state.

Cloudy and rainy and warm day here in MN. Cool weather is coming this week, thank heavens. I'm ready for Fall now.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.
