A Few Lotus Flowers

 Summer Greetings!

A lot of fussy cutting went into my card today, but I don't mind. The card turned out okay, if I say so myself. See? I am sending this card to The Flower Challenge #92.

As you can see, I followed their sketch closely. I started out with a SU embossing folder called Seabed inked up in Old Olive that was in my to-use bin. I pasted that onto a top folding A2 card base.

I chose an oldie but goodie stamp set by Dee at Stamplorations called Lotus Love for the flowers. They were colored with SU Blends in shades of Daffodil Delight and Magenta Madness and cut out.  A water stamp from the set has the flowers floating.

I left off a sentiment as I am not sure for what occassion I will send someone the card.

Because I used snippets of white cardstock to stamp my flowers etc. I am sending the card on to the Snippets Playground Challenge #482.

First card completed in June! I almost have too much stuff to chose what to make. That's why I like challenges. Anyone else have that problem?

Bye for now from a rainy day in Minnesota. :-)

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.

P.S. I see my card is sideways in the challenges, I don't know why. If you do, please let me know how to fix them. Thanks.

  1. A lovely card following the sketch.

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground where the sun always shines! X

  2. Hello Jeanne" I've just spent ages trying to sort out your image so it's not on its side. To no avail. I think you're using a web format for your photos - and it won't convert on my system. Am in danger of messing all of the whole links for this challenge so I'm afraid the ball is in your court. In the process I've deleted your entry altogether - you can re-enter but my laptop will not cope with a web format even though I've tried saving the image etc. multiple times. Try again and just accept it might be on its side! Nice card but gone from the challenge for now unless you can try at your end.

    Di xx

  3. Entry No 14 Looks the right way up on my screen!! Xxx

    1. It will now as I deleted the original and Jeanne managed to successfully link in a photo - not reclining! xx

  4. Hi Jeanne, all looks well at The Flower Challenge, and your is card is lovely. Love Lotus Flowers, and your fussy cutting is amazing! Beautiful EF too! Thanks for playing along!
