Spring Greetings!
This time my card has gone to Colorado. It is so much fun making cards and sharing cards, often sent over seas.
I used the suggested colors this month, turquoise, navy blue and gold. As you can see, I didn't put a sentiment on the front of this card. Honestly, I couldn't think of what to say and where to put it. Senior moment(s) I think.
To incorporate the navy color, I cut a panel of Night of Navy and then glued down the whole focal point onto a piece of white. The MFT basic white c.s. is a bit textured with SU's retired Subtle embossing folder. Using the white piece I think highlights the pretty grid.
You can see some of the die cut pieces alongside my card. I think they look like Tetris pieces. Oh, I so love to play that game.
All in all, a pretty simple card. Inside I put a rectangle of the white plus a note saying to my recipient that she could finish and pass the card along.
I don't believe I have every used this Spellbinder's die, so am adding the card to Darnell's NBUS for June. I cannot post this until the May CCC challenge closes.
A beautiful clean and simple design with your wonderful Chinese Traditional Fence die Jeanne! The colors worked perfectly for your card! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous take on the colors, Jeanne! That slimline die looks amazing backed by the gold!!
ReplyDeleteWell done for using that die at last. I really like it and it looks really good in those colours. I also like that you haven't added a sentiment so that wonderful pattern shines through xx
ReplyDeleteLovely way to use the colours, Jeanne! Wonderful geometric design. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely pattern to use as your main focus. WOW.
ReplyDeleteI love this card you sent to me in Colorado and am so happy you left off the sentiment and left the inside open for my to send it on and keep the happiness flowing.
ReplyDeleteSuper card Jeanne, what a lovely die. It makes a really striking design. xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool die and I love it in those colors, Jeanne! I agree it looks like Tetris and it looks great without a sediment. (If you belong to (or join for $10) AARP, they have a bunch of games to play and one of them is called Word Wipe. It's like Tetris, but you find words and they fall away. Addicting!!) I hope it cools off for you a little. Those temps are too hot for me, too. We have been having weeks of 70s and I'm in heaven! (Sssh, don't jinx it.) Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card!
