Hello and Happy Valentine's Day!
I made some valentines for my family and got them in the mail. Probably late this time, but the thought is there. ;-)
First up: This one went to my great-granddaughter. She is only 1-1/2 now, but likes colors and this also has some sparkle. Maisy's latest picture shows her painting on an easel and smiling from ear to ear. I expect she'll like the brightness and subtle texture of the card.
To make this, with a white card base, I added a fun die cut using an old Memory Box die called Cupid Heart. I cut it in a square of pink cardstock from my stash. Then I backed this with a left-over square of SU Real Red for some dimension and texture. The three hearts on the bottom were cut with SU small punches with snippets of glitter paper found in my parts drawer. Because I used big and small snippets of paper, I am submitting this card to the Snippets Playground Challenge #47.
Next up is the one for my only grandson who is in college, and has a great sense of humor. I messed up the greeting, but think it is part of the fun. See?Again, I made this card using a base of white card stock, this time top folding. All the stamps are from the 2013 Simon Says Stamp set called Only Have Eyes For You. Isn't the three eyed character a hoot? I did use my MISTI to stamp everything, but must have moved the card a bit when making the sentiment darker, hence the double stamping. But I like it! Inside I stamped Happy Valentine's Day with another stamp from this set and more balloons.
It is fun making valentines. I love the many ideas posted in blogs recently. Thanks everyone, I'll CASE some next year.
A lovely sunny day today, but cold. Crafting inside is my kind of day. Bye, bye.💓
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come by again.
